The historic Mecca Masjid is situated adjacent to Charminar in a southwest direction. The construction of the mosque began in the year 1614 by Qutb Shah Sultan Muhammad Aurangzeb and was completed in 1693. Built with local granite, it has its place among the largest mosques in India and is the largest and largest of the city. The vaulted gallery displays the graves of all of Nizam from the year 1803.
